Job Summary

The Engineering & Facilities Manager is responsible for safety, quality, and productivity in and on all machinery and facilities.

There are three key facets to this role: 1.

Process engineering and equipment ownership (efficiency, qualification, validation).

2.

Facilities ownership (Safety & ISO Standards; building upkeep).

3.

Maintenance team and program (Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixes).

Naturally this includes project management for capital engineering improvements to the plant and equipment, as well as coordinating procurement, construction, installation, start-up, and commissioning projects simultaneously.

The manager also provides technical support to production, QC, QA, and validation.

This position is located in Logan Township, NJ full time.

Essential Functions:


* ​Maintain a safe work environment


* Own ultimate responsibility for the building, building equipment (electric, compressor, boiler), and process equipment


* Oversee construction projects from design to bid to execution


* Manage equipment purchase, installation, and qualification


* Improve production processes using Lean principles and equipment upgrades (relocation, modification, new purchases)


* Manage maintenance department including safe work practices, procedures, workmanship, and operating costs


* Take responsibility for and manage the Preventative Maintenance Program


* Manage 3^rd party contracts


* Liaison for State or Federal Inspectors, Local Fire Department & Insurance inspections, including annual boiler inspection



* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering


* 5 years’ experience as an engineer


* Deep appreciation of equipment, processes, manufacturing, and facilities


* Must have a working knowledge to supervise construction crafts including architectural, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and control, etc.

* MS Office Suite (required): Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for documentation, data analysis, and reporting.


* Experience with facility and manufacturing equipment systems including cleanrooms, process tanks, mixers and liquid filling lines.


* Experience with preventative maintenance, creating operation and maintenance procedures


* Experience with Instrumentation Calibration Programs


* Experience with Commissioning and Qualification.

Knowledge of ISPE Commissioning and Qualification Guideline.
+ ISPE member and/or professional engineering license is a plus.
