ITS - Network Administrator

The Systems Administrator works directly with the VP of Support to provide support for our customers.

The administrator is responsible for the daily operations of all internal Iatric server infrastructure, including maintaining the VMware environment, NAS/SAN storage devices, Active Directory schema, and backups/replication to our alternate data center.

Travel to our Charlotte, North Carolina data center will be required a few times a year.

Responsibilities:


* Perform server administration tasks (e.g., user/group management, security permissions, group policies, print services).


* Research event-log warnings and errors; monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.


* Monitor data-center health using existing management tools; respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.


* Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.


* Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause; provide technical support when needed.


* Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.


* Support VMware environment.


* Monitor AWS environment.


* Update/patch servers.


* Manage and deploy antivirus.


* Maintain backups of all servers.


* Perform Active Directory management.


* Conduct security assessments of the environment.


* Provide support for internal and external customers.


* Document configuration of the environment.


* Perform Nexus scanning for security vulnerabilities.


* Monitor infrastructure.

Additional Responsibilities:


* Provide occasional off-hours support when key customer service levels, especially related to patient care, safety, security, or privacy, are at risk.


* Assist all Iatric employees with network access and VPN support.

Qualifications:


* Proven success in an IT role.


* Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, Active Directory, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.


* Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing (specifically Microsoft Azure).


* Expertise in analyzing and repairing large-scale distributed systems; creating volumes and assigning them to servers; and remote replication.
