A little taste of your day-to-day


* Maintain accurate records of all food items in the store.


* Regularly update inventory records and perform periodic stock checks.


* Ensure that all inventory items are properly labelled and stored.


* Receive deliveries of food supplies and verify their quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.


* Inspect and ensure that all received items are free from damage and meet hotel standards.


* Organize and store items in designated areas to maximize space and ensure easy retrieval.


* Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the storage areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.


* Implement First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize waste.


* Monitor expiration dates and ensure timely use of perishable items.


* Issue supplies to kitchen staff as requested, ensuring proper documentation and control.


* Coordinate with kitchen and service department to fulfil their inventory needs promptly and accurately.


* Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.


* Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to the executive chef.


* Assist in managing the budget food cost.
