Plastics Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Summary

Works with Supervisor, coordinating daily production floor activities, including housekeeping activities.

Other duties may be assigned.

Reads work instructions or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved with Hilo.  Moves materials in and out of the workstation with Hilo.  Assists in the setup of the workstation.

Flex-N-Gate Training Requirements



* High School Diploma or G.E.D


* 1+ year experience in Automotive Industry


* Basic Math Skills


* Reading and Comprehension Skills


* Valid Hilo License

Job Duties



* Understanding work instructions per Job Book details.


* Ensure each press has the correct material loaded to the part running.


* Stock assigned machines with correct components, assembly items and packaging materials per job running.


* Collect machine cell scrap and run scraped parts through designated grinders.


* Empty Hoppers on timely basis and clean Hoppers during a mold or color change.


* Able to read part numbers and show distinction between part numbers.


* Correctly stock all types of components and materials in designated location.


* Maintain housekeeping in department and designated areas.


* Control and usage of central loading system.


* Follow Preventative Maintenance items per job descriptions.


* Hilo operations


* Other job responsibilities, not specifically listed here, that may be deemed necessary by active supervisor.

* Support and adhere to the requirements of the Quality and Environmental Systems as needed.

Requirements



* Regular need to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk; hear; taste; and smell.


* Regular need to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.


* Regular vision requirements include the ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.


* Passing of Hilo test.

Working Conditions



* Physical ability to lift 30 lbs.


* Standing, twisting, bending and walking.


* Exposure to manufacturing/plant environment.
