IACP is seeking a talented leader to provide financial oversight for all aspects of reporting and compliance, accounting services, grant accounting and tax compliance.
The Assistant Director of Finance will lead the finance staff and is the primary liaison with external auditors. This individual will foster financial leadership, efficiency, systemization, and discipline throughout the organization.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general direction, manages staff responsible for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, contracts, treasury, accounting, financial/grant reporting, facilities and coordination of audits and inquiries by various funding and regulatory agencies.
This position is located in Alexandria, Virginia, you will be required to come to the office 5 days a week for 90 days, then transition to a hybrid schedule, with Mondays and Fridays remote and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the office.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Financial Stewardship and Strategy for Growth
* Evaluate current practices and policies.
Drive continuous improvement;
* Identify opportunities for process improvement;
* Work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure organizational decisions, actions and communications are in support of the agreed upon goals;
* Balance strategic objectives with tactical execution to achieve results;
* Provide management reporting to highlight risks, opportunities and strategic decisions;
* Manage the impact of funding decisions, the structure of funding and timing of funding on strategic cash flow analysis for the organization; and
* Lead in providing solutions and in bridge-building between Finance and other teams.
Develop creative solutions while ensuring compliance.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
