About the role:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead our hotel’s maintenance department.

The Holiday Inn Perth City Centre is a busy, beloved destination for both leisure and corporate travellers.

Your role as Maintenance Manager will be to ensure our facilities continue to provide the very best experience to our guests, every single day.

What you will do:


* Leading a small team of Handy Persons and guiding their development through feedback and goal-setting. 


* Overseeing budgets, energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning to keep the hotel in top shape. 


* Leading renovations and major projects, negotiating contracts, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. 


* Managing multiple projects and contractors, all while keeping operations running smoothly and with minimal disruption. 


* Keeping the hotel’s preventive maintenance program on track and ensuring compliance with all safety procedures. 


* Working with external contractors and partners to ensure top-quality work and maintain excellent relations. 


* Committing to running a "green" hotel while contributing to sustainability efforts.

Additionally, you may need to provide after-hours support when required, using your company-provided mobile phone for quick communication.

What we are looking for:


* A proactive, dependable person who thrives in a team-oriented environment. 


* Someone with exceptional communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. 


* Strong problem-solving abilities, able to remain calm under pressure. 


* A hands-on approach to work, able to handle manual tasks up to 15kg with ease. 


* Previous experience in general building maintenance is a plus, though hotel-specific experience is not required. 


* A trade qualification would be an advantage but is not essential.
