Equipment Manager- Coater

Your Job

Guardian Glass is looking for a Coater Equipment Manager to join our team in Carleton, MI!

In this role, you will provide the Coater teams with knowledge, guidance, purchasing, and project management to improve plant operational and reliability performance.

What You Will Do



* Manage Consumable and critical spare parts/inventory, Min/Max (Auxiliary equipment, Ink, Vacuum pumps, Power Supplies, etc.)


* Schedule plan downtime and equipment upgrades (Overhauls)


* Interact with contractors, vendors, and internal SS&P (Strategic sourcing and procurement)


* Manage the diagnosis of equipment problems, determine repair/replacement needs of machinery, tear down, repair/replace defective parts and reassemble equipment


* Responsible for direct reports (reliability team, vacuum techs)


* Develop employees to improve individual and organizational performance


* Lead performance management and corrective action processes (facilitate RCA's)


* Investigate and recommend purchase of equipment and supplies

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)



* Experience with managing/supervising direct reports


* Experience managing inventory/critical spare parts


* Experience leading maintenance planning and execution


* Experience developing subject matter experts or skilled maintenance personnel

What Will Put You Ahead



* Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering


* Experience working in a 24/7 manufacturing facility


* Experience with vacuum equipment and magnetron sputtering


* Experience using MS Project


* Experience with RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance)


* 5+ Years Experience in a Supervisory role
