Export Trade Operations Specialist

Schneider Electric's Global Supply Chain Transportation and Customs team is seeking a motivated individual for the role of Export Trade Operations Specialist.

This position is based in the Franklin, Tennesee hub.

This role is responsible for NAM Export Processing and Standardization efforts, ensuring regulatory compliance as advised by the Export Center of Excellence.

The role reports to the NAM Global Supply Chain Customs Manager and collaborates with a team of import and export specialists.

What are the Key Responsibilities?:


* Facilitate and process export shipments, including electronic export information (EEI).


* Communicate with partners such as Order Management, Freight Forwarders, and International Affiliates.


* Conduct Denied Party Screening and escalate potential license requirements.


* Organize meetings and KPIs with consolidators.


* Manage relationships with consolidators and resolve issues.


* Handle project management for proposal-based exports.


* Participate in supply chain sustainability programs.


* Support internal risk assessment and reporting.


* Ensure a sound archival process for export shipments.


* Collaborate with transportation teams and administer international trade and compliance training.


* Provide guidance on trade matters, including Customs/import regulations, EAR, CTPAT, and Mexico's IMMEX program.


* Stay updated on changes in Customs/import and export regulations.


* Drive the expansion of automated systems and technology.

Qualifications:


* Bachelor's Degree in a field of Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent.


* Experience with Export Operations


* Knowledge of ITAR and EAR


* Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, SAP, and One-Source Global Trade software


* Good collaborative and interpersonal skills


* Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently


* Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills


* Effective communication and problem-solving skills


* Experience in international trade and customs at a manufacturing company


* Understanding of international trade law and compliance, particularly in the USMCA region


* Experience with import/Customs programs in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico


* Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, changing team environment


* Self-starter with proactive problem-solving abilities
