Residential Care Manager - Harmony Haven

The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS), Children's Services Division (CSD), is seeking to fill two Residential Care Manager positions.

These positions are assigned to Harmony Haven Children's and Youth Center in Beaumont.

One position follows a 4/10 schedule: Monday through Thursday, from 2 PM to 1 AM.

The second position follows a 3/12 schedule: Saturday through Monday, from 7 AM to 7 PM, plus a floating four-hour shift each week (Tuesday through Friday) at a time determined by the employee and their manager.
Residential Care Managers are also on call in the event they are required to respond to an emergency.

All applicants for positions at Harmony Haven Children's and Youth Center must meet the age requirement of at least 21 years of age as required by the Transitional Shelter Care Facility Operating Standards by the California Department of Social Services.

Applicants who are under 21 years of age are not eligible for positions within Harmony Haven, but may be eligible for positions in other divisions or departments.

The Residential Care Manager will oversee the operations of Harmony Haven, a temporary shelter for foster youth.

The Residential Care Manager will report to a Deputy Director of Public Social Services and will have full responsibility and accountability for managing the services of an assigned district or specialized unit.

The ideal candidate is an effective leader, mentor and strong communicator with a relentless drive and vision for organizational change management.

The candidate will have a history of progressive experience towards management and taking teams to the next level.

The candidate will also have extensive knowledge of child welfare programs and industry best practices to achieve process improvements.

Candidates with previous residential care experience are highly desired but not required.

This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311 of the County Management Resolution.

Program eligibility requires employees to be in a leadership position, manage other employees or programs, and have significant influence on the achievement of organizational objectives.
