Pay: $62,400 salary

Work Schedule: Temporary position with possibility of being permanent;  Full-Time Monday - Friday

JOB SUMMARY:

The Licensed Practitioner Nurse (LPN) Day Programs Supervisor II will assist with the planning, coordination, leading, controlling, and evaluating care for all Goodwill of Colorado clients in the Integration and Employment Operations.

The incumbent is responsible for coordination and liaison with appropriate parent and affiliate departments and committees, development of policies and guidelines for obtaining input from service personnel and providing professional input to related administrative systems.

Directs and supervises professional and auxiliary personnel rendering client care services and fosters public relations for the company, consults, and plans with the health care facilities regarding staffing needs and communicates the concept of quality client care to the general community.

Interprets services needs to the program manager and acts as a client services administrative liaison.

The LPN Day Program Supervisor II is responsible for assuring that the professional standards of community nursing practice are maintained by all nurses providing care.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Integration and Employment Operations Medication Program:


* Review and update policy 65-4 Medication Management annually.


* Observe all rehab site QMAPs (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) weekly for compliance.


* Monitor medication binders all rehab sites (Voyages, Possibilities, and Journeys).


* Provide sites with monthly medication sheets, review, and initial monthly for accuracy.


* Check documentation on each MAR (Medication Administration Record) sheet; check for daily initials of medications given.


* Ensure the MAR sheets match the client orders and that the master list is up-to date.


* Review controlled drug count sheets for daily count and two (2) signatures.


* Remind CNAs (Certified Nurses Assistants) to check medication expiration dates and begin calling Care Providers before the medication expires or runs out.


* Observe medication cabinets for expired medications.


* Annually update all prescriptions with physicians, place in Therap.

database system.

Oversite of Integration and Employment Operations compliance Training: 


* Develop Client Specific training calendar as assigned for all Integration and Employment Operations staff.
