*This range represents a national range and the actual salary will depend on several factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the skills, education, training, credentials, location, and experience of an applicant, as well as level of role for which the successful candidate is hired.Position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.

Position Summary

Provides a welcome, hospitable environment and rewarding learning experience to groups of Employees and/or visitors through guided tours around ERIE's campus and/or points of interest by walking or by vehicle.

This is a part time, temporary position for special events.

Duties and Responsibilities



* Greets and welcomes groups of Employees and/or visitors to various locations on ERIE's campus.


* Orients and guides Employees and/or visitors around various points of interest on ERIE's campus.

Provides walking tours as necessary.

Provides historical context and explains the purpose and use of exhibits and/or locations.

In certain situations, will provide transportation to points of interest on ERIE's campus via shuttle vehicle.


* Engages Employees and/or visitors in conversation.

Answers questions and shares personal stories as appropriate.


* Completes periodic training or attends learning sessions as required.


* Assists with the development and revision of tour content as needed.


* Assists with event planning as required.


* The first two duties listed are the functions identified as essential to the job.

Qualifications

Additional Experience


* Strong working knowledge of Erie Insurance Group history required, preferably gained at least in part through prior employment with Erie Insurance Group.


* Prior experience in similar positions with museums or other public historical attractions preferred.


* If operatingthe shuttle, must have:
+ Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
+ Commercial Driver License (CDL) and one year experience operations a multi-passenger bus or similar vehicle preferred.
