Location: Gateway Post Acute, Porterville, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Starting Pay: $19+ per hour (Very Competitive Pay, Based on Experience)
Job Summary

Gateway Post Acute, a skilled nursing facility in Porterville, CA, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our healthcare team.

CNAs play a critical role in providing hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring their safety and comfort.

We offer very competitive pay starting at $19 per hour, along with a supportive and team-oriented work environment.
Key Responsibilities


* Direct Patient Care
+ Assist residents with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
+ Provide mobility assistance, including transferring residents safely between beds, wheelchairs, and other areas.
+ Assist residents with eating and ensure adequate hydration.


* Health Monitoring
+ Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
+ Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
+ Assist in the prevention of skin breakdown by repositioning and providing skin care as needed.


* Resident Comfort & Support
+ Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
+ Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by ensuring proper hygiene and organization.
+ Assist with maintaining residents' dignity and independence as much as possible.


* Team Collaboration & Communication
+ Work closely with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
+ Document all care provided accurately and timely in residents' records.
+ Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications


* Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing with the State of California.


* Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred but not required.


* Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.


* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


* Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing quality care.

Physical Requirements


* Ability to stand, walk, and assist residents for extended periods.


* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.


* Ability to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and reaching.
