Job Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced manufacturing engineer to monitor the use of equipment and identify opportunities for improvement, in order to increase productivity while maintaining product quality.  Responsible for the leadership of continuous improvement engineering within the manufacturing plant. 

 

 

Essential Position Functions: 

• Responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process.

Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning plant layouts to optimize production.

• Utilize principles of mathematics, science, and engineering to streamline processes.  Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.

• Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation, including process flow charts, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis and line balancing

• Research and test design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities
