Cyber Enterprise Process Optimization Analyst

Description & Requirements

Maximus is seeking a process optimization and tool development analyst to support the Department of Defense (DoD) IT Portfolio Management (PfM) initiatives to enhance process efficiency and IT stakeholder engagement.

This role involves analyzing existing processes, identifying optimization opportunities, and creating innovative solutions to improve workflows and data collection for effective decision-making.

This position requires daily on-site work in Arlington, VA.

Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Analyze current PfM processes and tools for inefficiencies and risks; prepare recommendations for improvement through strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans.
- Develop, refine, and maintain software tools to support IT portfolio management workflows and data collection.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements for process optimization and tool enhancements.
- Integrate tools with other DoD systems to improve data quality, efficiency, and decision-making.
- Provide training, user support, and comprehensive documentation to ensure tools are effectively utilized by stakeholders.
- Maintain a user guide and deliver updates on tool developments and best practices.

Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in software development and process optimization.
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks relevant to tool development (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address inefficiencies in workflows.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and technical documentation.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
- Familiarity with DoD IT portfolio management processes and tools.
- Experience integrating software tools with large-scale organizational systems.
- Knowledge of data workflows and metrics management.
