Assembler II

SQM is seeking an experienced Assembler II.

Primary Responsibilities:


* Assembly of enclosures according to precise product specifications.


* Ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to strict quality assurance guidelines.


* Assembly of electrical devices.


* Use of hand and power tools.


* Testing electrical devices.


* Operating Selective Soldering Machine.


* Operating Wave Soldering Machine.

      Plus:


* Manual Soldering (Rework).


* Operating SMD/THT Machines.


* Other duties as assigned.

Technical Knowledge and Skills Required:


* Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.


* Must be able to distinguish colors, fine circuit detail, and tones.


* Working knowledge of IPC workmanship and soldering standards.


* Working knowledge of ESD procedures.


* Motivated individuals with good attendance, attitude and work ethic.


* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.


* 1-3 years technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred.


* Must be flexible to work 1st or 2nd shift. 

Work Location: This position will be based at our North American corporate headquarters located in Chesapeake, Virginia.
