Job Description
Job Summary
The IT Support Administrator I role is focused on handling IT assets.
They will be responsible for the receipt of shipments of various IT hardware assets, inventory control of assets and ship assets to our end users.
Will also work with our third party partners to coordinate repair work for assets under warranty, schedule decommission activity for assets that have reached end of life.
Candidate should be familiar with ServiceNOW and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
Job Responsibilities
* Maintaining inventory records (updating inventory count and share with management & other stakeholders)
* Reporting discrepancies in inventory
* Obtaining estimates and price details from different vendors to compare costs
* Ordering inventory from vendors/suppliers – securing shipment arrival times
* Responsible for providing support to technical team
* Monitors email, phone and ticketing system and routes incoming requests appropriately
* Performs a wide range of support functions to assist in departmental processes
* Follows clearly defined procedures to complete daily tasks and responsibilities
* Maintaining inventory records (updating inventory count and share with management & other stakeholders)
* Uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems without the consistent need to exercise discretion
* Uses basic communication skills to address internal and/or external clients and/or team members
* Individual contributor working under direct supervision with little autonomy
* Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Education
* High school diploma required; Bachelor’s preferred
* CompTia A+
Experience
* Typically requires +1 year as Inventory Specialist or Inventory Clerk or equivalent job role/experience
* Life Cycle Management experience
* 1 to 2 years of imaging experience (preferred)
* Experience configuring profiles/applications
