Overview
Leads and orchestrates the work of the Electronics Assembly, Sensors Production and Testing, and Production Planning teams.
Development of personnel and processes.
Develops and implements methods to effectively achieve safe, high quality, timely and economical production and supply chain outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
* Ensures that HSE rules and procedures are followed by all employees in the department and that the facilities follow local and governmental safety regulations
* Ensures the development and achievement of quality objectives as related to TDW's quality policy
* Champions continuous improvement activities and team building
* Analyzes and appraises (regularly and systematically) the effectiveness of the operations to ensure that established objectives are met, corporate policies observed, and prompt corrective action taken when necessary
* Work with Manufacturing Engineering to develop assembly methods and procedures
* Coordinates the logistics of assembly operations, and specifies processes and equipment to ensure production schedules, specifications and quality standards are met
* Works closely with procurement team that performs Make/Buy analysis with Procurement and Supplier Engineering
* Department assures Routers and BoMs are current and accurate
* Department manages WIP and oversees all equipment and shop supplies
* Assists in the development of department budget and labor forecast and adheres to approved budget
* Initiates and justifies requests for machinery and equipment (working with Manufacturing Engineering)
* Ensures machinery and production equipment are maintained and in proper working order.
* Selects, manages, evaluates, motivates and develops employees to ensure a qualified workforce necessary to meet Company objectives while complying with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines or foreign employment guidelines as applicable
* Sets personal objectives, provides fair and constructive feedback, assesses accurately employee performance, training needs, areas for improvement and possibility of future growth within the organization, and ensures training & development needs are addressed.
Assists employees in department in managing their career paths
* Develops a positive team dynamic to ensure high performance
Experience
* Bachelor's degree with 5-7+ years manufacturing or related experience
* Process improvement experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S is desired
