Manager of Golf Experience
Position Summary: The Manager of Golf Experience plans and manages the delivery of the overall program in accordance with the strategic goals of the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
Logistics/Operations
* Works with the Sport Director to create, monitor and report on goals and objectives including program growth, retention, and client experience.
* Collaborate with other sports on campus to ensure implementation of best practices.
* Plan, schedule, and deliver special student events.
* Responsible for all planning of student athlete and staff travel, and related reporting expenses.
* Responsible for communication, ordering, allocating and working with corporate sponsors on equipment and apparel.
* Liaison to college teams and professionals.
* Anticipates and resolves needs for any off-campus facility use.
Communication
* Leads communication and sharing of information with Marketing and Outreach, including PR, to ensure maximum exposure to the golf program.
* Liaison with Advancement office.
* Ensure consistent, timely and quality communication is done with Student Athletes parents/guardians.
* Works with coaches, APD and Academic staff, as appropriate, for the development of Student Athletes.
* Conducts themselves as a leader within the Sport Program through positive communication and through knowledge of the Academies.
* Coordinate with Golf and Academic staff to ensure uniform academic performance standards, minimization of travel conflicts with important school dates, notification to school of significant upcoming trips and completion of student-athlete leave of absence procedures.
* Provides support to advisors and coaches when working with prospective families, teams and groups.
Staffing/Payroll
* Responsible for staff scheduling/recording PTO (Personal Time Off) accurately
* Responsible for ordering office supplies and ensuring that new hires are set up for success.
* Actively manages part-time, seasonal and intern staff.
* Completes all necessary paperwork for visiting coaches and staff, including independent contract agreements and expense reports.
P&L
* Ensures excellent program delivery while eliminating unnecessary costs.
* Assists in the development of the operational program budget and ensures adherence to the budget.
* Reviews and Expense Reports.
* Reviews of all financial reports and communication with accounting staff on all necessary adjustments/corrections.
* Prepares reports to determine revenue stream and program utilization.
* Develop and oversee the budget and operating plan to support the golf department.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
* Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
* Strong business acumen.
* Strong organizational skills.
