Retail Supervisor (Campus Store)
The Retail Supervisor's role is instrumental in maintaining operational excellence within our retail environment.
The primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing the day-to-day activities on the sales floor, managing sales associates, and addressing customer inquiries to ensure a seamless shopping experience both in-store and online.
The supervisor will be tasked with effectively delegating tasks to uphold operational standards and providing clear direction, guidance, training, and coaching to the staff for efficient and effective operations.
While leading by example to set a high standard of professional behavior, to foster a positive work culture within the retail team and store.
The ideal candidate for this position would work a 5-day week, with shifts scheduled from 11 am to 7 pm, including most weekends and holidays.
We are looking for individuals with previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the retail industry, possessing strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
* Excellence in customer service in the store, as well as by monitoring customer feedback, responding to, and addressing all customer and staff concerns quickly.
* Ensures that store team is engaging with each customer to create an authentic brand experience.
* Provides training to the team in the core areas of customer engagement and sales results.
By providing in the moment feedback and coaching.
Ensures visual merchandising standards for the store are maintained.
Create a biweekly schedule working closely with the Retail Manager for other schedule needs.
Monitoring employee activity and approving employee time sheets.
HS Degree or the equivalent experience and/or Knowledge of retail sales and the sales cycle as well as inventory management.
Preferred Skills
* 5+ years in retail sales environment
* Bilingual
* Bachelor’s degree in related field
* Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone
Physical Demands and Work Environment
* Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes more than 40lbs.
* Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable time.
* Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.
* Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
* Walking and moving to assist customers, retrieve merchandise and recover the store.
* Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
