Senior Litigation Paralegal, Enforcement Services
The Litigation Paralegal performs a variety of job duties relating to litigation in the Enforcement Department.
These duties generally include applying basic analytical skills to research, review, analyze and process legal documents such as briefs, pleadings and appeals.
This is a position in which incumbents are performing their assigned roles, developing job-related skills and working under limited supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
* Reviews, organizes, schedules, and tracks files, documents, and cases.
Researches legal and regulatory sources to locate articles, codes, decisions, and regulations.
Prepares correspondence and legal documents, such as summaries, motions, records, exhibits, briefs, and complaints for the review, approval, and use by legal staff.
* Investigates facts and prepares and interviews witnesses.
Proofreads, edits, formats and finalizes legal documents.
Categories, maintains, and stores legal records and information.
* Maintains document and electronic files.
Assembles, organizes, duplicates, and disseminates legal materials.
Produces case management, statistical, and other reports.
Serves as liaison with technology staff to communicate systems requirements and functionality support needs.
* Receives and responds to inquiries from internal and external constituents regarding legal processes and complex cases.
Assists with supervising, training, and coordinating work flow of legal and administrative support staff.
Education/Experience Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certificate, or the equivalent.
Three years of legal office experience.
* Competence using a desktop computer with the full suite of electronic office product applications and electronic legal libraries.
* Strong writing and editing skills.
Work Conditions:
* Work is normally performed in an office environment.
Occasional travel and overtime hours may be required.

In addition to location, actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s skill set, level of experience, education, and internal peer compensation comparisons.

MA/WA: Minimum Hourly Rate $32.96, Maximum Hourly Rate $67.65
MD/Washington, DC: Minimum Hourly Rate $37.94, Maximum Hourly Rate $67.65
NJ: Minimum Hourly Rate $36.35, Maximum Hourly Rate $70.63
NY: Minimum Hourly Rate $32.96, Maximum Hourly Rate $70.63
