Pediatric Neurosurgeon

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced, highly skilled and dedicated, Epilepsy-trained Pediatric Neurosurgeon with a passion for patient care to join our exceptional team comprised of 2 pediatric neurosurgeons, 2 physician assistants, and 6 fellowship-trained pediatric epileptologists.

Familiarity with open procedures for grids and strips, resections and disconnections, depth electrodes for stereoelectroencephalography, responsive neurostimulation, and deep brain stimulation required.

Key Responsibilities


* Perform complex surgical procedures and provide comprehensive care to young patients and their families.


* Participate in preoperative patient evaluations and postoperative care


* Lead the development of a multidisciplinary pediatric epilepsy program within the Divisions of Neurosurgery and Neurology.


* Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to improve patient care processes


* Share in the Neurosurgery call schedule on an equal basis.

Qualifications


* Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery


* Fellowship trained in Pediatric Neurosurgery


* Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school


* Valid medical license & DEA


* A minimum of 3 years post-fellowship experience and additional training and/or experience in Epilepsy preferred
