Business Process Manager - Probation

The Riverside County Probation Department is seeking a Business Process Manager to support their Business Intelligence and Operation Services Division located in Riverside.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing a select business process improvement project team comprised of multiple stakeholders, cross-functional subject matter experts, professional staff, and contract personnel responsible for developing and implementing systemic process improvement plans that will result in increased productivity, quality systems improvement, cost reduction, and waste reduction; and performs other related duties as required.

This class has been deemed eligible for the Performance Recognition Plan as set forth under Article 3, Section 311(C) of the County Management Resolution.

Program eligibility requires employees to be in a leadership position, manage other employees or programs, and have significant influence on the achievement of organizational objectives.

Seeking candidates with probation, law enforcement, and social services experience, along with at least one year of lead/supervision completing reviews, mentoring, and counseling of staff.

Competitive candidates will have experience applying Six Sigma methodology, Microsoft Product Suite, and project management.

• Determine project scope and establish functional work teams; oversee BPI plan and develop key performance indicators; collaborate with key stakeholders and core project team members to assess progress and ensure optimum results.

• Establish effective methodologies, standard operating procedures, and best practices for decision-making purposes; develop problem-solving techniques to enable individual team members to adapt to change and resolve issues throughout the business process life cycle.

• Facilitate communication by utilizing expedient methods and appropriate tools to efficiently disseminate relevant project plan information and evaluate accomplishments through the use of milestone markers; serve as the primary advisor and provide project leadership and business consulting expertise to assist key stakeholders with the deployment of modernized computing s...
