Intern, Business Operations

Primary Duties & Responsibilities


* Develop and maintain applications using VBA and Python.


* Streamline, parse and transform data from Excel sheets into databases.


* Create and generate comprehensive reports based on data analysis.


* Design and implement web applications to view and manage data.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.


* Process map existing business requirements and develop/implement into a systems approach to update/track and monitor performance of these key business initiatives.


* Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner.


* Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices and code reviews

Education & Experience


* Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Minor in Data Science - preferable 4th year student


* Must have experience in programing and previous internship

Skills


* Strong understanding of programming languages such as, Python, or C#.


* Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.


* Knowledge of database management systems (MS SQL Server) and data structures.


* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


* Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Safety Requirements

All employees are required to attend scheduled training, follow the site EHS procedures and II-VI Corporate EHS standards.

This includes the use of proper protective equipment (PPE) as required by the job responsibilities.

Managers will ensure that all safety and environmental procedures are followed consistently.

They will ensure that risk assessments are performed, proper training, work instructions, required PPE is available, and will monitor compliance.

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
