Maintenance Engineer

Your Job

Guardian Glass is searching for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to support the operations in Carleton, MI.

This role will be responsible for driving reliability and predictive maintenance.

They will be focusing on the electrical side and will help support electrical projects as well.

Our Team

The team consists of maintenance supervisors, coordinators, planners and engineers.

This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

What You Will Do


* Support the maintenance and electrical operations teams in troubleshooting techniques and provide engineering solutions for protection schemes.


* Provide support to operational areas with emphasis on short and long-term reliability improvements


* Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement with asset and site reliability


* Participate in/lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions


* Develop, implement, and support preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for new and existing equipment (vibration analysis, lubrication program, oil analysis, ultrasonic, infrared, NDT, thermography, MCE testing, and precision maintenance)


* Support implementation of reliability processes aimed at developing skilled maintenance and operating personnel who operate with a reliability-centric mindset


* Analyze operational data, KPIs, OEE, etc.

to identify gaps and areas of potential improvement


* Work with maintenance planners and supervisors to share knowledge and gain expertise in development of plant wide reliability strategies

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Reliability experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment


* Experience with electrical troubleshooting


* Experience using a CMMS and other reporting/productivity software


* Experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

What Will Put You Ahead


* Bachelor's degree in engineering, Electronics or Electrical


* Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance and KPIs
