Accounting Technician II - Countywide Candidate Pool

The County of Riverside is seeking qualified Accounting Technician II.

This county-wide recruitment aims to create a Candidate Pool of qualified applicants for the permanent position of Accounting Technician II.

This pool will be available for regular permanent vacancies across all Departments within the County.

The Accounting Technician series is used in all County Departments to provide accounting services.

Incumbents in this class either function primarily as key assistants to professional accountants or other management staff performing the more difficult and complex paraprofessional accounting work or supervise a fiscal support unit in the financial function of an agency, large division or department.

The Riverside County District Attorney's Office - Grants Division

The position will be responsible for the following:


* Managing and billing grants from Federal/Local/State Agencies


* Preparing Reconciliations of various accounts


* Preparing Monthly/Quarterly Grant Claims


* Preparing Monthly/Quarterly Revenue Projections


* Creating invoices in PeopleSoft.


* Reviewing Travel and Training Request/Coding Reimbursements


* Reviewing and Auditing Personnel Timecards


* Supporting External and Internal Grant Audits


* Supporting the Year-End Reporting Processes as needed.


* Assisting in Annual Budget Projections as needed.


* Other duties as they relate to the unit as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:


* Managing and Billing Grants from Federal/Local/State Agencies


* PeopleSoft (Financial Production and HMS)


* MS Excel and Word


* Revenue Projections


* Accounts Reconciliation
