ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Multi-craft Maintenance, under supervision of the Production Manager, is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, adjusting and/or maintaining industrial production machinery within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:


* Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.


* Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.


* Utilize tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices


* Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.


* Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts


* Paint and repair windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures


* The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements

Education and Experience:


* AAS degree in Electro/Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.


* One year diploma/certificate or completed equivalent electronics training during military service will be considered.


* Minimum three to five years’ experience as a maintenance mechanic within a production environment.


* Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and measurement tools.


* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems required.


* Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following Company standards and procedures, complying with legal codes and regulations.


* Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and on call.

Knowledge and Skills:


* Measuring and Gauging Devices:  Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.


* Ability to use multimeters, voltage testers, amp meters, and other testing devices.


* Ability to install and maintain motors, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.


* Ability to assemble, install, alter, and repair pipe systems


* Ability to use hand power tools applicable to job function. 


* Experience in MiG and Tig welding...
