Role reports to: EHS Manager

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor D.E.

Malaysia

What you will do

The EHS Specialist is responsible for promoting workplace and product safety by identifying and monitoring potential hazards, implementing health and safety policies and programs, conducting compliance audits, and participating in health and safety teams.

You will also review operating and maintenance procedures for compliance with health and safety programs and policies, and participate in incident investigations:

Key Responsibilities


* Coordinate site initiatives related to compliance to safety management system with reference to EHS standards, ISO14001, and local legislations.


* Lead the risk assessment for routine, non-routine task and support site projects


* Internal & external EHS report on a regular basis as per regulatory and EHS requirements


* Lead EHS training, communications and engagement with employees and contractors for EHS awareness and IOSS capability building


* Lead for EHS inspection/GEMBA Walk on regular basis


* Lead EHS local procedures and documentation revision and maintenance

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications


* Degree in Environment Health & Safety or related fields with 3-5 years working experience related to environment health & safety field and familiar with ISO14001:2015 requirements and applications.


* OR Diploma in Environment Health & Safety or related fields with 4-5 years working experience related to environment health & safety field and familiar with ISO14001:2015 requirements and applications.

Desired Qualifications


* Obtained certificate in Safety Health Officer is added advantage with 2-3 years working experience in environment health & safety field, familiar with ISO14001:2015 requirements and applications and safety legal requirements
