Johnson & Johnson MedTech Digital (JJMT) is recruiting for a Director of Applied ML/AI to establish and incubate the applied sciences team to create new innovative solutions for AI for improved surgical outcomes.

JJMT Digital is passionate about crafting the future of digital surgery by developing software products and solutions for hospitals, clinicians, and patients.

These products will deliver a comprehensive digital surgery experience for J&J Med Tech customers and their patients from pre-operative care through post-operative support.

We are seeking a Applied ML/AI leader to lead the team designing and delivering our AI systems and models that collect, process and analyze large quantities of multi-modal data such as images, videos and device telemetry.

These systems use sophisticated real-time machine learning algorithms and make information accessible and actionable to both clinicians and patients.

This is an opportunity to build a cross-functional high-value team of applied scientists, data scientists and ML engineers who will push the boundaries of AI to support surgical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:



* Build and lead a strong team to develop, deploy and manage state of the art ML Models in production (classic ML, DNNs, and Large Language Models/GenAI).


* Hire and manage a well-run, successful team via coaching, mentoring and providing technical and career guidance.


* Strong experience in developing and deploying vision-based models in production with both batch and real-time processing.


* Build, sustain, and grow a diverse team to address the growing needs of the organization.


* Collaborate with stakeholders building solutions on top of the platform
