Then we have the role for you - we currently have exciting opportunities available for Permanent Shift Electrical Technician This opportunity is only being advertised internal and externally in our Northfleet Mill.

 In this role you will be responsible for first response for Electrical engineering issues across full site, working in close collaboration with operating teams, SMT, shift MO’s and shift leaders. 

As part of the highly skilled Asset Support Team, the Technician will work under the direction of the Site Technical Team Leader to provide both proactive and reactive process engineering support within their area discipline.

This will be a hands-on role in planned activity and troubleshooting scenarios.

As a Shift Process Technician, you are able to demonstrate your previous experience, you work best under pressure and you deliver high value to your team by owning issues through resolution, being flexible (in both mindset and practice) and working collaboratively with them toward team goals.

You will also have the following;


* A strong awareness for safety.


* Collates information on all major events through the shift in order to provide a carefully documented handover. 


* Technical leadership for equipment isolation and lock out (2nd Call steam isolation) to allow safe working on machinery.


* Experience of working with DCS, PLC’s, AC drives and electrical systems


* Recognized apprenticeship in a relevant field ideally NVQ level 3 (Electrical).


* To ideally possess a minimum of 4 GCSE’s or equivalent, including Mathematics and English


* Have working knowledge of equipment isolations procedures (LOF1), WAH, major lift permitting.


* 2nd Call for Converting electrical support  


* Execute repairs on equipment to deliver maximum asset uptime  


* Experience of working in paper making and/or working in an FMCG environment.
