Role Overview

As an Airfreight Agent, you’ll use your talents to create innovative solutions and shape the future 

across our business.

Key Responsibilities:


* Develop relationships with customers internal/external to grow existing business 


* Liaise with airlines and DHL offices.

Air freight planning and coordination


* Maintain mandatory milestones through the Company's Freight Forwarding system


* Use Company systems to create, manage and maintain the movement of freight


* Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to promptly and professionally


* Adhere to Customs Compliance procedures and documentation


* Using quoteshop and following up on opportunities until business gained

 

Skills and Experience: 


* Two or more years’ experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry.

  


* 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above – or equivalent desirable. 


* Experience of HMRC procedures. 


* Commercial awareness. 


* Clear and concise communication skills (written and spoken).

 


* Ability to follow processes with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

 


* Ability to support a culture of continuous improvement.

 


* Inter-personal skills - Influencing, communication, relationship management, cultural awareness and ability to work across teams. 


* Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry and related processes 

 

HOURS/SHIFT PATTERN: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday 

REPORTS TO: AFR Operations Team Leader
