The Field Testing Technician, Building Products Testing is responsible for conducting tests on a variety of building products and components

Salary & Benefits Information

The base wage or salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.

Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.

What you'll do:


* Carry out field testing on fenestration products (windows, curtain walls, storefronts, etc) in accordance with the relevant AAMA/ASTM standards


* Preparing test chambers and enclosures


* Document testing with data sheets and photos


* Coordinate with the report writer to complete field test reports in a timely manner


* Ensure project documents are maintained properly in the company database


* Monitor field testing supply levels and coordinate ordering supplies


* Maintaining equipment and facilities


* Other duties as assigned

What it takes to be successful in this role:


* High School Diploma or GED (Associates Degree preferred)


* Excellent organizational skills


* Strong communication skills


* Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently, occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance


* Ability to kneel and squat occasionally


* Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold)


* Ability to climb and work from ladders


* Basic computer skills using Word and Excel.


* Ability to travel as business needs dictate


* Ability to read architectural drawings and specifications (preferred)
