Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Check that the loan file(s) contain proper documents, signatures, dates, and other relevant information such as vesting, legal descriptions, and security instruments.


* Prepare security instrument documentation to perfect liens on collateral.


* Prepare loan closing disclosures and closing documents and ensure timely delivery to borrower(s), loan originator, and settlement agent.


* Balance closing figures with settlement agent.


* Review loan documentation and enter loan data into the loan origination system to ensure we have a complete and accurate loan record.


* Review loan files and communicate remaining items needed to process the loan request.


* Review loan files for compliance with all regulations, as well as Bank policies and procedures.


* Verify loan application information provided is complete and complies with lending standards.


* Maintain regular communication with third parties: settlement agents, insurance representatives, and secondary market representatives regarding loan approvals, conditions and follow up.


* Ensures that all conditions required by underwriting are in the file prior to borrowers closing.


* Perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws, and regulations applicable to your job function.

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities


* Assist with training other mortgage processing employees.


* Assist the updating department procedures and documentation.

Qualifications Required

(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)


* A High School Diploma or equivalent


* Two years of experience in banking, finance, office or clerical support, or related role.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions


* Sitting for extended periods of time


* Ability to operate computer applications and basic business equipment


* Infrequent travel may be required for meetings and trainings
