Job Overview:

The BI Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency across the organization.

This position involves designing, development, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports by extracting, transforming, and visualizing data from various sources, providing actionable insights to business stakeholders to guide decision-making within the organization.

Key responsibilities include data modeling, data visualization, report creation, and ensuring seamless data integration with existing systems.

Job Description:


* Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI's visual elements like charts, graphs, maps, and gauges to effectively communicate insights.


* Connect to diverse data sources (databases, APIs, flat files) and extract relevant data, performing data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation using data query languages like SQL to prepare it for analysis.


* Design logical data structures within Power BI to facilitate efficient analysis and reporting, including creating relationships between tables and optimizing data for visualization.


* Maintain a corporate repository of metric definitions, ensuring clarity and consistency.


* Work jointly with department heads and analysts to define KPIs and reports for company-wide performance measurement.


* Performing ad-hoc analysis to answer complex business questions.


* Stay updated with the latest features, updates, and best practices in data analysis and visualization to maintain a competitive edge.


* Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:


* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.


* 3-5 years of experience in the Transportation and Logistics industry preferred.


* MS Azure Synapse Expertise, including experience with Azure Synapse SQL pool, Spark pools, and data lake storage.
