SUMMARY:

The individual filing this position is responsible for the pickup and delivery of items donated to Goodwill.  The pick-ups are located at Goodwill collection boxes, shopping centers, and other designated locations.

Once the pick-ups are made, the Truck Driver is responsible for returning the donations to the agency’s main facility.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 


* Perform deliveries and pickups in a timely, safe and efficient manner.


* Load and unload trucks as necessary/required in a safe and reasonable manner to assure minimal or no damage to donated materials.


* Supervises Truck Helper.


* Interacts with Donors in a businesslike, professional manner.

Gives Donors tax receipts for their donations.


* Perform warehouse work as assigned.


* Perform other similar job-related duties as requested by supervisor


* Responsible for the safety of the individuals under his/her supervision.


* Must possess a valid driver's license.


* Act as a representative of Goodwill Industries in the making of pickups.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


* Experience driving a 24 FT box truck.


* In addition to being able to read and write, the position requires the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.


* Up to and including three months.

* Works with confidential data where disclosure would have significant adverse internal and external effects.
