Manufacturing Technician - Systems

Multi-functional role that includes but not limited to the assembly, staging, testing, and packaging Virtek projector systems.

Responsibilities section:

Functions of the Manufacturing Technician - Systems will include, but not be limited to:


* Executing system staging, system quality assurance and system packaging.


* Spare part and warranty replacement management.


* Continuous improvement and corrective action activities for the production team.



* Complete all checklists/records/reports as required for traceability


* Report and maintain Quality Audit checklists and System checklists


* Assist in shop-floor job management/reporting using the ERP system

Requirements section:


* Grade 12 minimum, preferred diploma in Electronics / Electro Mechanical / Optics technology.


* Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.


* Ability to interpret assembly procedures, wiring diagrams and drawings.


* Ability to document and record test results, and report daily labor and material consumptions.


* Demonstrated ability to use tools, fixtures, and test equipment.


* Familiarity with Windows operating systems and setup of computers and peripheral devices.


* Ability to lift 40 lbs occasionally, to shoulder height.


* Safety conscious.


* Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.


* Self-motivated, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
