As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Cloud Advancement & Transformation Solutions (CATS), you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality secure architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies.

As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Job responsibilities


* Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs


* Defines the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy


* Participates in architecture governance bodies


* Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback on new technologies


* Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems


* Develops secure and robust cloud solution architectures, concentrating on reviewing and debugging code written by others to ensure the security and integrity of the overall system architecture.


* Identifies opportunities to enhance the security architecture by eliminating or automating the remediation of recurring issues, thereby improving the overall operational stability and security of software applications and systems.


* Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups , and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification on Secure Cloud Solution concepts and 5+ years applied experience


* Ability to define and enforce strategic access control framework, incorporating principles of least privilege, zero trust, and RBAC


* Strong ability to collaborate with engineering, security, and compliance teams to embed IAM best practices within secure-by-design and shift-left development frameworks


* Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle


* Expertise with privilege access management strategies


* Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities early in the development process


* In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems


* Practical cloud native experience
