What are we looking for?

The Experienced Driller Assistant and Logger is responsible for assisting the Driller with soil drilling, logging, rock coring, sampling, classifications, in-situ testing such as PMT and CPT, and monitoring well installation.

What you'll do:


* Assist Driller to load / unload augers and assemble / disassemble augers


* Prepare tooling and supplies for the day's tasks


* Assist with the location of boring locations


* Retrieve and log soil samples


* Conduct In situ Testing such as PMT, CPT, electrical resistivity etc.


* Clean / maintain equipment and perform site clean up

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:


* High School Diploma or equivalent


* At least 1 years of Driller assistant experience


* At least 1 year of soil logging experience


* Must have a TWIC card and ability to obtain safety certificates from Houston Area Safety Council (HASC)


* Valid driver's license and reliable driving record


* Ability to travel up to 60%


* Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed


* Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance


* Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound


* Ability to kneel and squat occasionally


* Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time


* Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures


* Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights


* Ability to work over night hours and off shift
