Director, Construction - Self Perform

Your Job

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a Director of Construction - Self Perform to join the team.

This role can be based remotely within the U.S.

with 50-75% travel to project sites and the DEPCOM office as needed.

This role will oversee the successful execution of multiple large-scale solar energy projects from inception through completion.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project and construction management, team leadership, and stakeholder communication.

This role does not provide VISA sponsorship.

DEPCOM Power's Project Delivery team ensures that the Project Operations team has the tools they need to be successful.

What You Will Do


* Project Site Leadership: Direct and manage the overall construction process of multiple capabilities (Civil, Pile Driving, Racking & Module Installation), ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Lead and support the internal construction teams to help achieve project schedule goals and stay within budget constraints


* Team Management: Mentor and develop a team of General Superintendents, Superintendents, Foreman, and Craft Labor.

Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement


* Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including the Project Delivery team, clients, suppliers, labor providers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project alignment and compliance with all requirements


* Budget Management: Develop and mange project execution budgets per scope of work, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality


* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate then.

Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations


* Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all projects meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations


* Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to senior management and other stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and solutions


* Innovation and Improvement: Stay current with the industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Propose and implement innovative strategies to enhance project delivery and operational efficiency

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


* Construction Management experience developing and leading construction teams including large scale groups of craft labor


* Experience with Civil, Pile Driving, and Installation of racking systems


* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites including Word, Outlook and Excel
