Verification and Validation Engineer (Power Products)

Primary Function

Schneider Electric is seeking a motivated individual to serve as Sr.

Design Enginner to support the new product development inside power products Portfolio, particularly Circuit Breakers.

The position is based in Monterrey.

The individual is responsible for all aspects of understanding customer needs/requirements from product being developed and transform those requirements in solutions through product development.

The development process implies understanding of design thinking, design for manufacturing and validation methodologies using corporate tools.

Activities

• Skills on Understanding the Verification and validation process of a new product.

• Knowledge on Codes and Standards is a most.

Familiarity with UL, IEC and CCC standards for electrical products is highly desirable.

• Understand product functional requirements and translate that into design needs.

• Develop design solution concepts using CAD tools.

• Identification-Management of Technical Project risks.

• Manage design actions using Agile methodology.

• Being the main contact point of Product Design Lead and designers on verification and validation.

• Experience in product maintenance and QVE (Circuit Breakers).

• Good communication skills are a most (business English conversations).

Qualifications

Requirements

- Must have 5 or more years of experience in design and development of electromechanical products.

- B.S.

in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or Design degree.

- General knowledge of manufacturing processes.

- Master of Science degree is desirable.

- Influence and convince skills

- Good communication skills are a most (business English conversations).
