Position Overview -

AJM Packaging Corporation, one of America’s leading manufacturers of paper products, including plain and printed paper plates, cups, bowls and bags, is seeking a CDL A Driver to join our team in Detroit, MI!  Main duties for this position will be spotting trailers, local runs between AJM facilities and properly securing dropped loads for safe unloading.

Responsibilities & Duties -


* Drive tractor/trailer to and from local destination in a safe and efficient manner


* Do yard spotting and trailer switching as necessary.

Assist dock and/or warehouse staff in loading and unloading trucks


* Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and will submit a report indicating truck condition


* Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations


* Deliver product to customers as needed


* Preform daily yard checks 

Minimum Requirements -


* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred


* One year of tractor trailer driving experience


* Valid CDL-A driver license is required


* Able to perform all physical components of the position, with reasonable accommodation if required


* Able to operate a forklift
