ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are searching for a Maintenance Manager for our steel drum manufacturing plant in Petaling Jaya to ensure both the equipment and facility are well maintained, safe, and operational.

The Maintenance Manager oversees all aspects of maintenance to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of production processes while also managing the upkeep of the plant’s infrastructure, utilities, and support systems.

This would suit a hands on, technical person who is able to manage a team, oversee the budget and support the Plant Manager in the continuous improvement of the site.

Typical Accountabilities:


* Equipment Maintenance and Reliability: Develop and implement Preventative, Corrective, Predicative Maintenance plans to ensure plant performance is optimized.


* Team Management and Leadership: Supervision of Maintenance Staff to Lead and manage a team of technicians and engineers responsible for both equipment and facility maintenance.


* Facility Infrastructure Maintenance: Undertake Building Inspections and Repairs, Facility Systems, External Facility Maintenance, Wastewater and Water Treatment Systems.


* Utilities and Support Systems: Electrical Systems, Compressed Air Systems, Water Supply Systems: Ensure the uninterrupted supply and treatment of water used in manufacturing processes, maintaining efficiency and regulatory compliance.


* Safety and Environmental Control: Health and Safety Compliance, Dust and Air Quality Control, Emergency Preparedness.


* Vendor and Contractor Management: Third-party Contractor Oversight, Procurement of Spares and Tools.


* Budgeting and Cost Control: Maintenance Budgeting, Cost Efficiency.


* Facility Upgrades and Renovations: Infrastructure Improvement Projects, Energy and Sustainability Initiatives.


* Continuous Improvement and Process Optimization: Root Cause Analysis, Collaboration with Other Departments.


* Reporting and Documentation: Maintenance Records, Regular Reporting to Management.

Requirements:


* Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and / or automation systems used in manufacturing.


* Experience of coaching a team to deliver high performance.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in pricing or business control.


* Able to multi-task managing projects across different topics.
