Intake Operator

Intake Operator

Responsible for all phases and operation (process and CIP) of all liquid shipping and receiving.

Maintain a safe work environment and meet all established quality standards.

PAY RATE: $26.93

HOURS: 4:45p - 5:15am (2-2-3 rotation/every other weekend)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


* Performance of job duties may include any one or more operator roles as needed on the assigned team/shift.

This position will cross train as a silo operator.


* Initiate setup, shutdown, teardown, CIP/COP and troubleshooting of equipment.


* Perform duties as needed within the Silo area.


* Perform all sampling and testing as required


* Must be certified in regulatory antibiotic testing.


* Responsible for verification of silo connections prior to filling.


* Maintain legible and accurate records, documentation, reports, etc.


* Completion of Master Sanitation schedule items and other cleaning as needed.


* Manage resale inventory including: assist with ordering, rotating stock, dispensing stock, receiving stock, coordinate with office.


* Perform light equipment/building maintenance as required.


* Participate in cost reduction/continuous improvement activities.


* Participate in the plant safety program, including timely completion of safety training.


* Perform all duties safely, following all safety programs, to prevent injuries to self and others.


* Report all injuries and property loss incidents, including spills.


* Follow all sanitation and quality SOP's to ensure all equipment is clean and ready for production.


* LEAN Manufacturing - Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities to include line side problem solving.


* Participate in 5S program to contribute to a safe and organized work environment.


* Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines and LQMS requirements


* Actively contribute to a behavioral based safety culture by completing a minimum of one behavioral observation (BOS) per month.


* Demonstrate working knowledge of machine operations and overall production process


* Other duties as assigned by Shift Lead or Production Manager

Education:


* High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience:


* 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred


* Prior high speed, high tech manufacturing experience

Requirements:

* Ability to utilize computers & software programs proficiently


* Ability to communicate effectively to ensure product flow to next work station
