Sales Development Intern (Summer 2025)
Schneider Electric's Process Automation business is seeking to add a Sales Development Intern to our team in Summer 2025.
This position is open to candidates in Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA.
Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Business Development, this individual will gain experience driving orders to completion, while actively engaging in prospecting activities and effectively coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure best-in-class service for our customers.
The key focus for this role will be to gain exposure to sales by supporting our top sellers in their pursuits of new leads and opportunities.
Activities include but are not limited to basic data analytics, researching prospective accounts, engaging with customers and supporting the broader Sales team.
This position is a stepping stone into a full-time Sales Coordinator role.
What will you do?
* Support our top sellers in their pursuits to meet monthly/quarterly sales targets by providing back-office support
* Coordinate with key stakeholders to follow up on orders, answer customer order enquiries and champion best-in-class service for our customers.
* Help top sellers connect to qualified leads by actively engaging in prospecting and gap analysis activities
* Work closely with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and adjustment
* Help our sellers prepare for customer meetings including research, presentations, relationship mapping etc.
What qualifications will make you successful?
* You are pursuing a Engineering, Sales, Management, Business Administration, or other related degree/certification.
Must be a current student available to start in Summer 2025
* Analytical thinking, strong capability of project management and problem-solving skills, sound judgment and a willingness to resolve issues and problems in a timely manner
* Excellent communications skills with the ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively
* You enjoy building relationships with customers and are seeking to develop your skills in customer service/ sales
* You communicate effectively and have a passion for sales
* Are local to either Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA
