Quality Assurance Coordinator
Position Summary:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator verifies the work done to create or revise online learning content, ensuring it meets Penn Foster Group standards.
The QA Coordinator assesses projects for adherence to a range of standards, including accessibility, clarity, functionality, reading level, style, and tone.
The QA Coordinator provides feedback on projects and verifies that requested changes are implemented before signing off on a project’s development.
This position is responsible for meeting deadlines and managing time and priorities efficiently.
This position reports to the Senior Manager of Quality Assurance.
Essential Job Functions:
* Review content and recommend improvements as required to adhere to a variety of standards, including the following:
* Check content against program- and course-level outcomes, objectives, and assessments.
* Review content for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and readability to ensure positive learner experience.
* Test courses for technical functionality, including navigation, interaction, and multimedia learner experience and ensure compatibility across various devices and for learners of all accommodations.
* Ensure all course materials comply with industry standards and accessibility best practices.
* Verify courses adhere to various guidelines set forth by the company, accrediting bodies, and other sources, as needed.
* Verity assessments correspond to stated learning outcomes and objectives.
* Collaborate with others to address identified issues and ensure continuous improvements of course content.
* Document all identified issues and track their resolution in collaboration with instructional designers, developers, and stakeholders.
* Manage personal deadlines and priorities to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
* Create and provide regular reports on personal and team-assigned workflows.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
* Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience: QA experience is required.
Editorial experience is preferred.
Instructional design and assessment writing experience is a plus.
* Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.
Experience with D2L Brightspace and Adobe Workfront is a plus.
