Speech Pathologist (Bear, DE)

Nemours Children's Health, Becks Woods is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our outpatient program in Bear, Delaware.

This is a salaried position with full-time benefits for 40-hours worked per week.

Hours:


* Monday/Thursday, 10:00 am to 6:30 pm


* Tuesday/Wednesday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm


* Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00pm

We recently completed a multi-phase hospital expansion that includes new inpatient rooms, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.

Provides Speech-Language Pathology evaluations, interventions and patient/family education under the prescription of a physician.

Will establish and maintain appropriate documentation and communication with medical and clinical staff and outside agencies within the guidelines designated by state licensure, the department and Delaware Valley policies and procedures.

Actively participates in departmental education activities in order to expand knowledge of patient populations and evidence-based practice.

Maintains core competencies and any additional competencies determined to be necessary by the management team to ensure patient care needs are met.

Essential Functions


* Demonstrates competency in pediatric Speech Therapy in the care of patients aged birth to 18.


* Able to provide speech therapy services to a variety of patient types with recognition of his/her own limitations while seeking appropriate mentorship as needed.


* Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy #7980.3.3, Joint Commission, and CARF standards.
