Technical Trainer - Epic Applications

The Technical Trainer will develop and implement training programs associated with, but not limited to, Epic applications.

Primarily responsible for the delivery of training content to a variety of audiences at Vancouver Clinic including front line staff, leadership, and providers.

Provide instructional design and curriculum development as needed to ensure accuracy.

Schedule: Generally Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm, may vary at times to accommodate meetings and classes.

Will occasionally require some weekend work for upgrades, etc.

Most classes are on site at our Administration building.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


* Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Adult Learning Theory preferred.

Will consider equivalent combination of education and/or work experience.


* 1-2 years of professional training development and delivery experience in a training environment.


* Become Epic credentialed within the first 6 months of employment.


* Experience in software support desirable.


* Experience in providing training programs to users in a healthcare setting highly desirable.


* Working knowledge of healthcare field strongly preferred.


* Working knowledge of a Learning Management System preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role involves scheduling and conducting small to medium-sized training sessions for Epic End Users, Clinic Leads, Managers, and Clinicians both in-person and online.

You will deliver training across various skill levels, ensuring accuracy, comprehension, and effectiveness.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Principal Trainers to develop training programs, collecting feedback, identifying training gaps, and providing refresher sessions.

You will track and evaluate training progress through a Learning Management System (LMS), prepare materials, set up training environments, and address any classroom questions.

Additional tasks include supporting go-live sessions, updating training content, and maintaining training records and schedules.

Site support duties may also be required for go-live updates.

* Proven ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form required.


* Proven ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


* Proven ability to satisfy customers and enhance software usage skills within a deadline.


* Proficiency with standard Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.


* Proficiency with online communication tools such as Teams.

Pay Range:
$31.62 - $47.43
