Claim Director-Aviation/Aerospace

JOB DESCRIPTION

Chubb seeks a Claim Director on the Aerospace Casualty claims team that provides specialized claim handling on behalf of Chubb's Aerospace and Aviation customers.

The Aerospace Casualty Claims position will have oversight responsibility for adjudicating claims covered by Airport Owners and Operators General Liability policies and Aircraft policies within North America and the rest of the world.

This role reports to the Assistance Vice President of Aerospace - Specialty Claims.

Responsibilities


* Recognize significant potential exposures on claims and prepare appropriate alerts and timely early warning watchlist matters to senior managers and our internal business partners.


* Appropriately manage severity exposures in a timely manner, including but not limited to early identification and reporting of a severity exposure, and the development and execution of investigation, evaluation, and resolution strategies.


* Appropriately identify, analyze and address coverage issues in a timely and professional manner, and communicate coverage positions to our internal and external business partners as warranted.


* Directs and closely monitors cases with financial impact through trial/resolution.


* Review claims for reserve and settlement authority in a timely manner or make recommendations to management as warranted.


* Provide exceptional service to our internal and external business partners.


* Adhere to individual authority grants, all statutory and regulatory requirements, fair claim practices and local compliance requirements, including licensing.
