This Associate Director /Director role is an all-encompassing role that incorporates the management of client assignments, proactively identifying and participating in networking, and eventually business development activities.

* Conducting hands-on failure analysis investigations
* Planning and executing laboratory tests
* Conducting field inspections
* Communicate with clients, and counsel
* Assist with the preparation of critique reports examining the conclusions of other experts
* Assist with the preparation of technical reports and to prepare reports with minimal supervision at the director position.
* Develop positive relationships with colleagues, peers and clients
* Prepare for and attend hearings, trials and mediations
* Manage the day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements
QUALIFICATIONS
* Requisite professional designations and work experience:
+ PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Metallurgy, Corrosion, Electrochemistry
+ Or a relevant MS degree and 5+ years of prior experience in engineering consulting or equivalent experience focused on problem solving/failure analysis
+ Excellent verbal and written communication
+ Specialized knowledge of materials characterization techniques for example: SEM, EDS, XPS, Auger, SIMS, FTIR, X-ray
