We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Modeling Engineer with an outstanding aptitude for multi-disciplinary modeling to join the Schneider Systems Modeling team.
In this role the successful candidate will use physics-based and/or data-driven techniques to develop and optimize new architectures with an objective to sharpen Schneider's Solar, Storage, and EV charging product strategies.
We are looking for a positive, confident, self-motivated, passionate individual with a strong desire to work in an exciting, fast-paced, team based collaborative design environment to help us develop next generation technologies to empower and connect our products to each other, and to our customers.
If you are interested in renewable energy systems, solar energy, energy storage, and have strong aspirations for both independent and collaborative product development, and are excited about contributing to a world-class product, then this is the position for you.
What will you do?
* Collaborate with a broad group of product development teams to develop high-fidelity and highly accurate real-time models for new power electronics systems and collaborate throughout the product development stage
* Perform accurate modeling and simulation of complex energy storage and power electronics converters which will be used to assess, and design optimized energy storage systems and power electronics converters
* Uses physics-based and /or data-driven modeling techniques to create scalable system models that drive product specifications
* Use high-fidelity system models to optimize target architecture to various constraints (performance, weight, cost, life, etc)
* Develop and integrate solar, battery, power electronics, thermal, load, and control models
* Develop automated modeling infrastructure for refining system specifications; and conducting techno-economical, and mission profile usage analysis
* Own product KPI tracking (size, weight, performance, and cost) and publish regular updates
* Influence product strategies based on modeling results
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
* Master's degree + in Physics or Engineering from an accredited University (PhD strongly preferred)
* Demonstrated background in using physics-based and data driven modeling techniques.
