Key Responsibilities :
Project Governance & Compliance :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fixed Assets Specialist to join our finance team.
This role is critical in supporting fixed assets control, ensuring compliance with the Procomer and statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will be adept at building cross-functional partnerships and facilitating effective communication across various departments.
Fixed assets controls :
* Control the budget for capital expenditures (capex) by monitoring expenditures and ensuring alignment with financial forecasts.
* Provide ongoing analysis of budget variances and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track financially, thereby mitigating potential risks.
* Build strong cross-functional and cross-franchise partnerships across all levels within E&PS, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, to collect and challenge assumptions, model scenario implications and influence business decisions.
Project Execution :
* Collaborate with finance shared service centers to ensure that fixed assets are capitalized in a timely manner, thus maintaining accurate financial records.
* Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Procomer controls related to fixed assets, thereby safeguarding financial integrity and accountability.
* Physically tag equipment and keep the subledger of fixed assets updated to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of asset values.
* Execute physical counts of fixed assets to verify that the assigned location of each asset in the subledger is accurate, thereby ensuring reliable asset management.
Qualifications
Education:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
* 2 years of relevant multinational experience is required.
* Knowledge of Costa Rica Free-Trade-Zone conditions and local statutory requirements.
* Strong analytical, technical accounting, and problem-solving skills are required.
* Ability to build effective business partner relationships using persuading and influencing skills
* Strong organization skills and an interest in planning and strong communication - Framing and communicating of complex data
